Parisian nightlife in the Naughty Nineties is evoked by this colourful musical box to mark the 150th anniversary of the 'Can-Can', the 'Galop Infernal' from Jacques Offenbach's 'Orpheus in the Underworld', first performed in 1858. The high-kicking dancers are based on a poster for the 'Troupe de Mlle Eglantine' by Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec.
